The most important thing to keep in mind while bra shopping is finding your correct size. Today it's easier than ever to find your correct size even when shopping online as many sites offer that guide you through the process of measuring your band and cup size. 

Cups

Wireless bras come in all cup styles, from full coverage to plunge to push up. Choosing the right one comes down to your personal preference as well as breast shape. Cohen breaks down the common breasts shapes and the ideal cups for each: 

Athletic: Wider breasts with more muscle and less tissue tend to have a problem with cup gaping. 
Try: T-shirt style bras.

Asymmetrical: One breast is larger than the other.
Try: A bra that can give you an instant lift but also the option to incorporate an insert on one side to give your smaller breast a boost.

Bell: Breasts are slimmer at the top and fuller at the bottom. 
Try: A full coverage bra that features wider, memory foam straps that provide support but never dig in.

Relaxed: Breasts have lax tissue and nipples pointing downward.
Try: A balconette style bra that has a slightly shorter cup for more fullness at the top.

East West: Breasts have nipples that point to the east and west, creating wide-set breasts.
Try: If you are struggling to achieve cleavage with certain tops, look for full coverage bras that will help bring your breasts up and together.

Adjustability 

Some wireless bras are pull-on styles, which are great when you don't like bulky hardware. However, adjustable straps and hook and eye closures can offer a more precise fit, especially if your size tends to fluctuate. When buying a new bra, it's best to find a size you can close on the middle hook rather than the tightest one, as the bra will likely stretch with time.

For the comfiest wireless bra, look for styles made out of breathable cotton, which also is a great material for t-shirt bras as it lies seamlessly under most clothes. Lace or mesh bralettes can be sweet and sexy and styled as a top. Many bras are made from moisture-wicking materials to help you stay dry and cool.

What are the pros and cons of a wireless bra?

The main advantage of a wireless bra is that there is no underwire, which some people find overly restrictive and uncomfortable. But without the underwire, wireless bras tend to offer less support and definition than traditional bras, says Cohen.

This lack of support and definition isn't always a con. For instance, those with smaller breasts tend to find that wireless bras offer all the support they need without sacrificing any comfort. Or if you like to sleep in a bra, a wireless style keeps you supported without any wires poking or pinching your skin during the night. Sometimes it's an aesthetic choice to go with a wireless bra that offers a more natural shape like a lace bralette or seamless bandeau. 

To get the best of both worlds, you can have a mix of underwire and wireless bras in your collection to choose from for different outfits and occasions. Whenever you are looking for comfortable support, just reach for a wireless bra.

Can I wear a wireless bra if I have a large chest?

Definitely, says Cohen. "I personally don't believe there's anything you 'can' or 'can't' do based on the size of your breasts, whatever makes you feel most comfortable and confident is what you should do," she says. . "Some features to look for in a wireless bra that will be most supportive for a larger breast size include wide straps, removable cups for definition and coverage, and a smoothing fit that doesn't pinch, squash, or squeeze."

Can I machine wash wireless bras?

While wireless bras may seem more low maintenance than their underwire counterparts, it's best to double check with the individual product label on how to properly care for it. Some styles still need to be hand washed to preserve the shape and material. 

How often should I replace my bra?

Cohen recommends replacing your bras every six months to a year, depending on how frequently you wear them. Having several different bras in your rotation is a good way to avoid too much wear-and-tear in a single bra, extending the lifespan of your lingerie collection.
